EC asks Sasikala to explain her elevation as AIADMK's gen secy

The Election Commission has issued a notice to VK Sasikala on petitions filed by O Panneerselvam faction on her election as All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary.

The EC has asked Sasikala to reply by February 28.

Sasikala is serving a jail term in connection with the Rs 66 crore disproportionate assets case in Bengaluru's Parpana Agrahara prison.
