For those trashing all media as paid news, this is how genuine grassroots reports help. In Chirang (Assam), Buli Basumatary (extreme left in picture), once a national-level gold medallist archer, now selling oranges on the pavement will soon work as a coach for the state.

Speaking to news agency ANI she said, "I'm a street vendor. Ive been selling oranges since three years now. I have won many medals and I applied for a job in the Assam police but didnt get it."

Shortly after the report, Naba Doley, Assam Sports Minister said they would appoint her as archery coach next week, followed by short-term training in Punjab.
