UP first phase: 12% voting till 10 am

Around 12 per cent voting was recorded on Saturday in first phase of Uttar Pradesh till 10 am.

In volatile Western UP, Bulandshahr recorded 12 per cent voting and Muzaffarnagar 15 per cent.

Aligarh witnessed 10.5 per cent voting, whereas Agra saw 12 per cent.

Kasganj, Mathura and Shamli recorded 8.67 per cent , 12.29 per cent and 12.33 per cent voting respectively.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party won all three legisltaive council seats -- Kanpur, Gorakhpur and Bareilly --in UP where elections were held. -- ANI
