Sasikala will be new Tamil Nadu CM

After much speculation, the AIADMK has elected VK Sasikala as its legislature leader, paving her way to become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.

The official AIADMK twitter handle said "Chinnamma all set to become the Next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu."

Earlier, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam proposed her name at a meeting of party MLAs in Chennai.

On December 31, 2016, Ms. Sasikala was elected as the AIADMK general secretary.
