Dancer dies on stage, viewers think it's part of the act

A dancer collapsed and died on stage in Paravur in Kollam district of Kerala, but the audience thought it was all part of the performance.

Omanakuttan, 48, was performing Bharathanatyam with his teacher Sivan Malyankara when he suddenly crouched and slumped to the floor, which was initially taken to be part of the dance, the Daily Mail reported.

However, Sivan Malyankara realised what had happened and quickly moved to the side of the stage to drop the curtain and call for help.

Omanakuttan was taken to a private hospital in Paravur but declared brought dead.
