Ram Manohar Lohiya hospital in New Delhi today refuted Congress-led Opposition's claim that Indian Union Muslim League MP E Ahamed was shown alive under Prime Minister's Office 'pressure' to allow Budget presentation on February 1, saying such allegations are 'demoralising' for doctors.

"Why will we come under any pressure, there was no pressure. We issued a statement yesterday (Thursday) explaining everything. Putting such allegations is demoralising for doctors," RML medical superintendent A K Gadpayle said.

Congress and Left today raked up inside and outside Parliament the issue of death of Ahamed, alleging that he was shown alive under PMO 'pressure' to allow Budget presentation on February 1 and demanded a probe by a Parliamentary Committee into it. -- PTI
