Budget to go ahead, ANI quotes government sources

Budget will be presented, obituary may happen before or after it. The government has spoken to all parties and arrived at consensus, ANI said via a tweet quoting government sources.

Uncertainty over the Budget presentation persisted as many speculated that it would be deferred by a day owing to the demise of former Union minister E Ahamed.

While there were some who demanded that Lok Sabha be adjourned as is traditionally done when a MP dies, many said that for once in this case, convention should be followed.
