Exit polls: BJP wins in Gujarat, Himachal

Two big news breaks at this hour.

Exit poll figures from Times Now projects a win for BJP with 111, Congress with 68; ABP projects a win for BJP with 91-99; Congress with 78-86. The halfway mark in the 182-seat Gujarat Assembly is 92.


The India Today-Axis poll predicts a win for the BJP in Himachal with a 50 per cent vote share to the BJP as against 40 per cent to the Congress and 9 per cent to other parties. The poll predicts between 47-55 seats for the BJP,  So, it's goodbye to Virbhadra Singh's government in Himachal and PK Dhumal is expected to be the CM. 


And the other news is that the Shiv Sena's Aditya Thackeray says his party will leave the BJP in the next one year and form a government on its own. The Sena is an ally at the Centre.
