All possible steps initiated to rescue stranded fishermen: Kerala CM

In Kerala, 59 people stranded due to heavy rains, were rescued by the Navy and coastal guards in Trivandrum. The Kerala government has initiated all possible steps to rescue fishermen stranded in rough sea off the state coast due to cyclone 'Ockhi', Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today said.

After a meeting where he reviewed the situation, he said though the exact number of stranded fishermen was yet to be known, the government initiative was to bring all of them to the shore without any delay.
