Air India waives all penalties on re-issuance of tickets or date change

In view of the heavy rains in Mumbai, Air India, the national carrier, has announced that it will not charge customers for re-issuing tickets. 

In a tweet, it announced, "In view of inclement weather due #MumbaiRains, all applicable penalties on re-issuance/date change/no-show/cancellation & refund charges stands waived of on all tkts issued on/before 29/8/2017 for travel to/from #Mumbai has now been extended till 31st August 2017."

Earlier, on Tuesday, flights had been cancelled. However, early on Wednesday, they resumed services.
