Trump gets rid of White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon

US President Trump has decided to dismiss his embattled chief strategist Stephen K Bannon, said White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders.

Bannon is an architect of Trump's 2016 general election victory.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders spokeswoman said in a statement: White House Chief of Staff John Kelly & Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve's last day.
