EPS, OPS to announce merger soon?

The E Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam-led factions have gone into a huddle, chalking out the future of the AIADMK, a day after the Tamil Nadu government announced a probe into the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa.

J Jayalalithaa's memorial at the Marina beach in Chennai has been decked up with elaborate floral arrangements with rumours swirling that the AIADMK will announce its merger there shortly.

A merger will resolve a fight between the two camps over rights to the party's name and symbol especially before crucial local body elections due in a few months in Tamil Nadu.
