Melbourne has been named the world's most "liveable' city for the seventh year running.The capital of the Australian state of Victoria, known for its trendy cafs, bars and laneways, topped the Economist Intelligence Unit's 2017 ranking, which examined five categories - stability; healthcare; culture and environment; education; and infrastructure - in 140 destinations.
