After sparring with the Tamil Nadu state ministers and even engaging them with political attacks over corruption and NEET, actor Kamal Haasan on Tuesday took on Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Twitter.

In spite of reports about several acts of crime and corruption, he wondered why no one has sought the resignation of the chief minister.

"If one state's CM should resign for a mishap & corruption under his government. How come no party calls for resignation in TN. Enough crimes done," Kamal Haasan tweeted on Tuesday, as if sending out an Independence Day message. The tweet was re-tweeted by thousands within minutes.

This is the first time that the actor has directly taken on the chief minister, ever since he started openly making political statements and questioning the ministers over rampant corruption.

"My aim is a better Tamil Nadu. Who dares to strengthen my voice. DMK, AIADMK and parties are tools to help. If those tools are blunt find others," Kamal Haasan said, in a second tweet.
