The Gujarat MLAs staying at Bengaluru's Eagleton Resort will be returning home tomorrow and will be put up in a resort in Ahmedabad.

The MLAs were brought in to the resort located 40 kilometres away from Bengaluru ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections in Gujarat in which Congress candidate Ahmed Patel is contesting. The elections will be held on August 8.

The Congress while alleging poaching by the BJP carted around 43 MLAs to the resort near Bengaluru. Their hospitality in charge, D K Shivakumar was raided three days back by the Income Tax department.

The Congress is trying to keep its flock together to ensure that Patel wins the elections. The Congress came under severe criticism as the MLAs were holed up in the resort when the state was facing floods.
