The Congress party's Ajay Maken who handled the election for the party has been criticised for being unwilling to discuss or accept suggestions from other party members.

Dixit, a three-term CM, is credited with efficient administration, despite corruption taints during the Commonwealth Games. Gracious, despite defeat, Dixit said, "Each time we lose, we learn something." No doubt, there's been lots of opportunities for the Congress to learn.

The BJP's winning streak is credited largely to the immense popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
