Sri Lankan prime minister to visit India next week

Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe will be travelling to India on a working visit from April 25-29, 2017, with April 26 as the main day of engagement.  

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be hosting a luncheon meeting with Wickremesinghe on April 26. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari will be calling on the visiting PM. 

After his official engagements in Delhi, Wickremesinghe will be making a private visit outside the capital. 

The visit of the Lankan prime minister to India from April 25 is part of Indias continuing engagement with the government of Sri Lanka at the highest level.
