All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (Amma) deputy chief T T V Dinakaran cancelled a meeting of party MLAs and district secretaries he had convened earlier in the day.

Dinakaran earlier said that a 'good decision' will be taken in the interests of the party, stating that there was no opposition against him in the party.

Meanwhile, former chief minister O Panneerselvam said that the ouster of Dinakaran and Sasikala from the AIADMK was their first victory, declaring that talks of the merger will now begin.

"Both the factions will talk to fulfil the aspirations of lakhs of party workers. This is our faction's first victory that Sasikala and her family have been ousted from the party," he said. -- Agencies
