Our desire for peace shouldn't be taken as weakness: Sharif on surgical strikes

Minutes after India announced that they had carried surgical strikes across the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attacks saying, "Our desire for peace should not be interpreted as our weakness. We are ready for the safety and defence of our country."

According to the DGMO, significant damages were caused in the strikes. He added that India had informed his Pakistani counterpart of the attack.
