'A real message' given to Pakistan: Tharoor

Congress MP and former United Nations diplomat Shashi Tharoor today said the surgical strikes carried out by the army across the LoC were 'very very sensible, measured and proportionate retaliation'.
Killing 19 soldiers was a provocation, he said referring to the Uri terror attack.
"What India did is very very sensible, measured and proportionate retaliation," he told reporters in Thiruvananthapuram .
Tharoor said 'a real message' has been sent to Pakistan that they cannot send troops to 'our country to attack our targets', people and jawans'.
"All seem to be well done...I am proud of the armed forces. They seem to have gone and conducted a successful strike, returned causalities...A real message has gone," he said.
