Ishrat Jahan case: FIR filed against missing files

An FIR has been filed in connection with the missing files pertaining to the Ishrat Jahan encounter case by the Under Secretary, Government of India, at the Sansad Marg police station in Delhi.

According to reports, the Delhi Police has initiated a probe into the case of missing documents on the sensational 2004 encounter.

Earlier in March this year, a team of the Ministry of Home Affairs had found that around five different documents, including two affidavits, were missing.

Earlier, it was decided that the probe will be handed over to the CBI but later the MHA directed the Delhi Police to probe the matter.
