Just in: The Maharashtra Home Department rules out a terror angle after a mysterious boat was found abandoned near Raigad on September 7.

Maharashtra Additional Chief Secretary K P Bakshi on Uran alert: Verified from Customs that there is no terrorist angle.

It was a case of 3 local boys running away with diesel theft.

Maharashtra had been probing whether an unidentified boat intercepted by Customs near Mora in Raigad on September 7 was linked in any manner to the sighting of "suspicious men' by two schoolchildren in Uran yesterday, that triggered an alert along the state coastline.

Coast's clear it seems.
