JeM behind Uri terror attack: Army

The army has blamed Jaish-e-Mohammed for Uri terror attack in which 17 jawans killed.

"Foreign terrorists are behind Uri attack. Initial reports indicate the role of JeM,'" said DGMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh.

Four AK 47 rifles, four under barrel grenade launchers and other war like stores were recovered from the four slain terrorists, Singh said.

Hinting at Pakistan's role, Singh said, "Since terrorists had some items which had Pakistani markings on it, I've spoken to Pak DGMO on same."

Singh said that 13 to 14 jawans were killed because of fire in the tent.
