Intense firing, explosions heard at Army HQ in J&K's Uri

A major gunbattle is underway after terrorists attacked the army's brigade headquarters in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri, near the Line of Control, early this morning.

The army installation on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway came under a major terror attack on Sunday morning.

Police sources say at least three terrorists are believed to have entered the army installation.

Some army barracks have caught fire during the fierce encounter as loud explosions were heard in the area.
