Akhilesh reinstates Shivpal Yadav, Gayatri Prajapati in cabinet

In a sign of thaw between Mulayam Singh Yadavs brother Shivpal Yadav and son Akhilesh Yadav, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Ministers office issued a statement saying that Shivpal will be handed over his three portfolios.

The official communique also said that sacked minister Gayatri Prajapati will also be instated in the Cabinet. The announcement comes a day after Shivpal resigned from all party posts and portfolios held by him.

Speaking to ANI, Shivpal said: Netaji (Mulayam) and Akhilesh didnt accept my resignation. I left it to Netaji and whatever he will decide we will follow.

Shivpal said that he will fulfill any responsibility given to him, be it as a minister or as state party chief.
