SC rejects petition against state funding to separatists

The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition against the alleged Central government funding to Kashmiri separatists, saying the judiciary have to protect constitutionally permissible values only.

"In such type of a matters, it's the exclusive domain of the government and the court must refrain to interfere in it," the court said, rejecting the petition.

Advocate M L Sharma had filed the plea which sought to stop state funding to separatists for foreign travel and other expenses, saying the government spends more than 100 crore on them.
