Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday denied that there's a personal rift between him and his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav, saying 'this is fight in the government'.

"Where have you found a family fight? This is a fight in government, not a family fight," Akhilesh said.

Hinting that the decision to remove Shivpal from key ministries were taken by him on his own, he said, "Some decisions were taken with consultation with netaji (party chief Mulayam Singh) and some I took on my own."

He also said that everyone in the family abides to what Mulayam says.

Earlier, he cancelled all meetings scheduled for Wednesday and reached his Kalidas Marg residence in Lucknow.

Shivpal, meanwhile, have flown to Delhi to meet Mulayam Singh.
