Constable injured in Nowhatta attack on I-Day dies

A policeman injured in a terrorist attack on security forces on the Independence Day in Kashmir, died at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Constable Rous Ahmed had sustained injuries in the terror attack in Srinagars Nowhatta area. He succumbed to injuries at the hospital on Tuesday morning, a police official said.

A Central Reserve Police Force officer and two terrorists were killed, while nine security personnel were injured when terrorists attacked security forces at Nowhatta in downtown Srinagar.
