Cauvery row: Curfew imposed in Bengaluru; 20 paramilitary teams deployed

Curfew has been imposed in 7 police limits of Bengaluru after one civilian was killed in police firing.

The areas of Rajgopal Nagar, Kamakshipalya, Vijaynagar, Byatarayanpura, Kengeri, Magadi Road and Rajajinagar.

The Bengaluru police have announced that Section 144 of the CrPC will be imposed in the city.

This means that no more than five people will be allowed to gather in public places in Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, 20 paramilitary forces have deployed.

"10 of these teams have arrived. Situation is tense but in control," IGP Bengaluru said.
