'Mother Teresa remains an enigma' says 1996 reviews of The Missionary Position

In his 1996 review of the late Christopher Hitchens' The Missionary Position in the London Review of Books, author Amit Chaudhuri had said, "One of the things that has struck me ever since about the publicity concerning Mother Teresa is that it has less to do with the poor than with Mother Teresa."

The review, entitled Why Calcutta?, looked at the socio-economic and political milieu in which the recently canonised Mother Teresa worked and Hitchen's critique of the same.
