Will Yogeshwar Dutt get the gold medal?

Following a media report that wrester Yogeshwar Dutts silver medal could be upgraded to gold, Dutt in an exclusive reaction to Aruneel Sadadekar/Rediff.com, said that according to him the other bronze medal winner, Coleman Scott of the United States, could get the gold medal because he was defeated by the eventual winner, while Yogeshwar was defeated by the silver medallist. However, Dutt is unsure of the protocol for upgrading the medallists.

On Friday, a report emerged that 2012 gold medallist Toghrul Asgarov would be stripped of his gold medal as he had tested positive for doping. There was no official confirmation of the report.

Yogeshwar, however is 100 per cent confident that his samples, which are also now being tested by World Anti-Doping Agency are clean.
