We or any groups associated with us are not supporting the Trade Union strike, says Pawan Kumar of the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh.

Calling the Centre's decision to issue notification on bonus payment as a historical victory for Indian workers, the RSS-affiliate BMS decided not to join the September 2 nation-wide strike call given by central trade unions.

In a statement, BMS said the inter-ministerial group headed by finance minister Arun Jaitely after consultation with the trade union has decided that the Bonus Amendment Act will be implemented strictly and the Centre will pay bonus for the years 2014-15 and 2015-16 based on revised norms.

The statement said the government has decided to fix the minimum wages at Rs 350/- per day for unskilled non-agricultural workers for 'C' category areas keeping in view the modalities of fixing minimum wages.
