Sacked because I'm Dalit, says sex video tainted AAP minister

AAP's sacked minister Sandeep Kumar plays the Dalit card. "This is a conspiracy and it should be investigated. I am paying the price of being a Dalit. I am not in that video. Investigation must be done about video," he told ANI.


Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday sacked the social welfare minister after receiving an 'objectionable' CD allegedly carrying details of some 'wrongdoings'. The decision to sack the minister was taken at a high-level meeting attended by top Aam Aadmi Party leaders. 'Received 'objectionable' CD of minister Sandeep Kr. AAP stands for propriety in public life. That can't be compromised. Removing him from Cabinet wid immediate effect (sic),' Kejriwal tweeted announcing the decision.


Kumar said today, "The plot was hatched ever since I installed Dr Ambedkar's statue. It is because I am poor and Dalit. Even ABP says they can't vouch for authenticity of tape. It is media trial. I am from Valmiki community, that's why this plot.


"I was becoming a face of the Dalit Samaj, this is an attempt to pull me down," he said.
