After Centre allows AIR in Balochistan, Pakistan bans Indian TV channels

After the Narendra Modi-led government boosted the signal capacity of All India Radio transmission, which led to AIR programmes being heard in Balochistan, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has banned Indian TV Channels through DTH services. 

Pakistan-based news outlet Geo News quoted PEMRA chairman Absar Alam saying that no Indian channel has landing rights in the country. He is said to have stressed that a complete ban against Indian TV channels is now being enforced and a crackdown is underway with the help of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority , the Federal Investigation Agency and other intelligence agencies.
