Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhupendra Singh tells NDTV: "SIMI members used jail utensils as weapons. Then didn't have guns, police had no choice, but to kill them."

The remarks, however, contradicts the statement made by Yogesh Chaudhary, IG Bhopal on SIMI terrorists.

He said, "We located the 8 inmates, they fired on us, and all of them were killed in cross firing."
