Heavy shelling rains on at the border: 6 violations in 12 hours

Ahead of Diwali, the Line of Control and the International Border is witnessing heavy shelling and firing as Pakistan continues to violate the ceasefire. They started unprovoked heavy firing in Kathua of Jammu which further spread to Hiranagar and Samba. The firing which began at 5.20 on Thursday evening continued till 5 am this morning. 

The Border Security Force troops gave a strong & befitting reply. Some Pak posts and villages received heavy damages. Except minor injury to a girl, no injury reported to BSF person or civilian on our side.

The Pakistani Rangers also resorted to shelling in Nowshera Sector. Similarly, gun firing was also taking place in the Sunderbani Sector and Pallanwala Sector near LoC.
