CNBC-TV18 reports: Sources say resolution to replace Mistry moved by Tata Sons director, 6 affirmative votes in favour; 2 directors abstained. Decision to replace Mistry taken a fortnight back, relations between Ratan Tata & Mistry strained for a year.

Sources say feeling in the board was Mistry was running "one man show". Mistry had a difference of opinion on Tata Docomo matter.
