Shivpal's revenge: Ram Gopal Yadav expelled from SP

Ram Gopal Yadav expelled from the Samajwadi Party and general secretary position for 6 years, Shivpal Singh Yadav, who was on Sunday booted from the Akhilesh Yadav Cabinet, informed.

Addressing media persons in Lucknow, Shivpal said: "He is involved with corrupt people, Ram Gopal has always misused name of Netaji; had raised this issue at various party fora."

"Ram Gopal Yadav is trying to malign the party, Akhilesh is not understanding it."

"They have created a group of goons who trouble people and create every kind of nuisance in the state. He (Ram Gopal) has been conspiring against me, he has been involved with BJP to save his son," Shivpal said. 

Earlier today, Ram Gopal, the party's general secretary, declared that being with Akhilesh means being with the winning side.

"Those who oppose Akhilesh won't be able to show their faces in the legislative assembly. Where Akhilesh is, victory follows," Ram Gopal said in a letter released to party workers.

Ram Gopal also asked party workers to strengthen Akhilesh's hand, especially ahead of the November 3 rath yatra called by the UP CM
