With pollsters and punters suggesting that there is now a 90 per cent chance that Hillary Clinton will be the winner on November 8, the element of suspense associated with any election appears to have gone out of the United States of America's presidential contest.


While the modern-day soothsayers have been known to have got their calculations wrong in the past, it is unlikely that anything short of either divine intervention or a monumental self-goal by his opponent can help Donald Trump secure the White House.
