West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi, a distinguished poet, adds another feather to his cap, agreeing to write songs for an upcoming bilingual movie on patriotism and nationalistic values.

The song for the movie Jowar Bhata in Bengali and Rishtey in Hindi will be sung by BJP leader and Union MOS for heavy industries Babul Supriyo. FTII director Gajendra Chauhan will act in the role of a doctor in the film.

"The director came to me and narrated the story. He liked one of my poems. He wanted to use it as a song in his movie. I gave him the permission to use it," Tripathi said, adding he was happy that his song was being used in a movie and that he would also be present during the screening of it.

The film will be directed by Kolkata-based filmmaker Milan Bhowmick, who has directed a few movies in the past.
