Be frank with ministers: Rajnath to newly inducted IAS officers

Home Minister Rajnath Singh today asked a group of newly-inducted IAS officers not to hesitate in putting forth their point of view before the ministers in case of difference of opinion.

The assertion was made during an interactive session between 11 union ministers, including Singh, and about 35 IAS officers of 2014 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre as well as those officers who are domicile of the state, presently posted in various ministries as Assistant Secretaries. 

Addressing the young officers, Singh called upon them to always uphold their reputation and credibility. 

Asking them to bear empathy for the last man in the queue, he said the IAS officers should shoulder big responsibility in the district and must win the trust of the common people.

Recalling his tenure as the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Singh asked the IAS officers not to hesitate to put across their point of view before the ministers in case of difference of opinion, according to an official release.
