J&K CM Mehbooba meets PM Modi

Amid tensions between India and Pakistan and prevailing unrest in the Valley, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

The Valley is burning for the 89th consecutive day on Wednesday after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter with security forces in south Kashmir on July 8.

Eighty three persons, including two cops, have been killed and thousands others injured in clashes between protesters and security forces since the unrest began.
