Disruptions continue in Lok Sabha over demonetisation issue. Senior Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge requested Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to allow their adjournment motion.

Addressing the Chair, Kharge said, "There is only one way to end this deadlock, allow our adjournment motion and let the PM come to House and participate in the discussion."

Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, among others, supported his demand.

In the Rajya Sabha, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said, "We're not responsible for 'Bharat bandh'. We only called for a protest. The 'Bharat bandh' is caused by PM's decision to ban notes."
