BJP MLA says Ambani, Adani were 'hinted' about note ban

Bharatiya Janata Party member of Rajasthan legislative assembly from Kota Bhawani Singh has claimed that a few big corporates had prior knowledge of demonetisation of higher value currency notes, ANI reported.

"Adani, Ambani, attram shattram ko pehle hi pata tha, hint de diya gaya tha (Ambani, Adani and others already knew about it, they were given a hint), Singh was quoted as saying by ANI.

This could be an embarrassment to the ruling BJP at the Centre as opposition leaders, including Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, have been claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modis industrialist friends were intimated about demonetisation in advance.
