Amitabh Bachchan calls for women's equality at Modi Sarkar's event

Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan says he is here to speak about Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme - saving and educating the girl child. Starts off by speaking about the status of women in Indian traditions.

"It is time that we realise that half the population of the country can't be left behind. Our growth is intrinsically connected to the development of women," says Amitabh Bachchan.

"Please don't think of women as the weaker gender," says Amitabh Bachchan. "If we are talking about inner-strength, then they are far stronger than men," he says.
