Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi has been appointed as the Lt. Governor of Puducherry.

Last year, the BJP had nominated Kiran Bedi as its chief ministerial candidate for Delhi assembly election. However, she lost the election which was swept by the Aam Aadmi Party.
