Ujjain: Sadhvi Pragya Thakur reaches VHP's Vande Matram Ashram before Simhastha Kumbh 'snaan'.

The sadhvi wanted to take a dip in the Shipra river in Ujjain and had secured an order from a court in Dewas district.

She had begun a fast unto death at around 9 am on Monday in Pandit Khushilal Sharma AyurvedicHospital, where she is undergoing treatment, by refusing to take food and water.

Upset over not being allowed to visit Simhastha mela and take holy dip in Shipra river, the Sadhvi has started protest in the Pandit Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic Hospital by leaving water and food since 9 am today, her close associate Bhagwan Jha had told reporters.

The National Investigation Agency had recently dropped charges against Sadhvi in the 2008 Malegaon blast case.
