'Sheena was strangulated', Indrani's driver tells court, wants to turn approver

The trial in the Sheena Bora murder case hots up: Key accused in the Sheena Bora murder case and driver of Indrani Mukerjea, Shyamvar Rai on Wednesday told the court that the 24-year-old young woman was killed by strangulation.


Admitting his participation in Bora's murder, Rai said that he was aware about the about the acts connected with commission of the offence.


"I was a participant in the murder (of Sheena). She was killed by strangulation," Rai told the court.


Indrani, along with her husband Peter Mukerjea, ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and former driver Shyamwar Rai are accused in the murder case of her daughter Sheena Bora in 2012.


While Peter was arrested on November 19, Indrani, Khanna and Rai were arrested in August 2015 and continue to be in custody.
