Just in: Harish Rawat wins floor test in the Uttarakhand Assembly. "We will revoke President's rule in Uttarakhand," Centre tells SC. Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi tells the Supreme Court that the Congress has won the floor test.

"It's a fair decision," senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for Harish Rawat, tells the court. Rawat obtained 33 votes in the floor test, SC was informed by its observers. "There is no doubt that Harish Rawat has proved majority. My instructions are that the Centre will revoke the President's rule," AG tells the SC.

Congress MLAs came out of the Uttarakhand Assembly flashing smiles and victory signs yesterday after the floor test was held. The Congress said it had the numbers and for once, the BJP didn't disagree. Former chief minister Harish Rawat smiled and flashed a V-sign but refused to put any numbers to today's vote. "I respect the Supreme Court's order to keep it secret but I am assured of the results,' said Rawat.

The vote was held under the supervision of the Supreme Court, which officially unveiled the result today.
