At a time when several parts of Uttar Pradesh are facing severe water crisis, thousands of litres of water was wasted just to clean the roads by which Cabinet Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav was due to pass by.

Yadav was to inaugurate the Alliance Buildmore Private Limited in Kanpur's Kalyanpur area where many tankers were seen wasting water on the streets.This is not the first instance when such wastage of water in the drought-hit Uttar Pradesh has been witnessed.

Earlier in April, thousands of litres of water was used for a make-shift helipad for Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in drought-hit Lalitpur.
